I agree with some of the comments. Bosch adapters need to be snapped off to the point where the adapters may break. There was an open box that a previous customer returned. He obviously forced an adapter on because I could not take it off. I bought a box that had all adapters sealed in a plastic bag. The adapter was not so difficult to take off because nobody else tampered with the wiper. Make sure that the wiper blade box is sealed before purchasing. I guess 26-inch OE is a popular size. Car dealers want you to go back to buy OEM wiper blades. Bosch makes the driver side wiper, but what about the passenger side? I am missing a Bosch ICON wiper for the passenger side. lol!

Bought these for a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis that uses a larger diameter pin. Is there an adapter for that style pin?

Notice all the comments are about the adapter thing falling off? This shouldn’t be happening for everyone and the instructions are unclear. I’ll be making sure to spread the word about these wiper blades to avoid buying them since it’s not worth the hassle

Thank you for this super clear video. Everyone else's has extremely poor lighting so it's hard to see the "parts of the parts." BUT: I bought brand new 28oe and the instructions say nothing about needing the #6 adapter!! I just spent an hour sweating over my car and wondering why I'm so stupid. I'm not - the instructions printed on the package are wrong! Not to mention that nobody said I would even NEED a #6 adapter, which I don't know where to buy. Great video. And good quality wipers (I'm told) ... but infuriating to install.

It’s not the job of retail store employees to figure out how to install windshield wipers. Like several other customers I removed the installation adapter and can not get it back on again. The attached instructions do not indicate that the adapter should not be removed. I will be returning these Bosch wipers for a set of Trico wipers.

I just broke my new wiper blades trying to get the #2 adapter off, and I know I'm not the only one. Why sell wipers with adapters already attached if you make them so hard to remove?

Hello. Thanks for reaching out. Bosch does not have information on how to remove the adapter. If that is the connection type, you can watch the video on how to install and do it backwards. If you still need help the employees in the retail stores (AutoZone, O’Reilly’s, etc.) can help remove the blades for them at no charge.

I contacted BOSCH AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE SOLUTIONS, INC 755 EISENHOWER DRIVE OWATONNA, MN, 55060, and told them about my Mac Tools Scanner that the battery is not holding a charge. They took my serial number from my scanner and told me that we would replace the battery under warranty at no charge. After they received my scanner, they sent me an email saying they wanted me to pay approximately $450 to replace the battery. I have been told it will be repaired under warranty. I declined their request, and I asked them to return my scanner the way it was. It took them 2 months to return my scanner and when I received it was damaged and not working at all. Keep in mind that my scanner was working perfectly but the battery does not hold charge. I highly do not recommend this company to anyone who wants to repair their automotive scanner. You will receive your automotive scanner DAMAGED. Just stay away from Bosch Repair. A completely unprofessional experience, with terrible technical repair and poor customer service

I bought my first pair of Bosch Icon blades last week. They are not cheap. I have an Infiniti G37 and the catalogue specifies a 26A and a 16A. I struggled a lot with mounting these blades to a hooked wiper arm. I came to UA-cam because nothing seemed to work. This video makes it look like a simple thing. Well, no matter what, I could not get them to fit. (And I've been mounting my own wiper blades for decades.) 1. There is an assembly which you're supposed to slide the hook into. There are actually two rectangles that look like the hook should slide into. The outer rectangle and the inner rectangle. The geometry is such that you'd think you would slide the hook into the outer rectangle, but it just hits a wall and does not lock at all. I took the assembly out and indeed, the hook is does fit into both rectangles and only locks into the inner rectangle. The problem is that when you mount the assembly into the blade and try to insert the hook into the inner rectangle, you simply cannot line the hook up. The geometry will not permit it. This video does not explain, nor show, which rectangle (or slot) you're supposed to put the hook into. It's very frustrating. In fact, there is no explanation whatsoever. IT WOULD BE REALLY NICE IF YOU COULD PUT OUT INSTRUCTIONS, CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS, IN ENGLISH. The pictogram on the back of the box is utterly useless. And this video is no better.

What harebrained engineer came up with this design? I know, I’m not going to go to your website to fill out one of your forms. How about changing the design or uploading a video of actual use to your customers. Bosch gets an award for over-complicating this product, and should be banned from UA-cam for posting this useless video.

my wiper mount didn't look like but I finally laid the blade on a table and just went for it pulling staight up. Felt like it would break but it finally popped off.
